STAINLESS steel is not a product most people would immediately associate with health or the Therapeutic Goods Association.

But a recent listing on the TGA register has placed stainless steel producer Bendtech™ at the top of the tree when it comes to grab-rails used in bathrooms and other installations.

Bendtech™ is now the only grab-rail maker in the country registered with the Therapeutic Goods Administration as a manufacturer of safety devices.

Based in Brisbane the Australian-owned company has been designing and making innovative stainless steel products for more than 30 years.

Products include grab-rails, shower seats, curtain tracks, curtains and back rests, including the ergonomic Rest-Ezy which provides support and comfort for disabled or elderly patients.

There are also fold-up, swing-away and floor-ceiling products for hospitals and aged care facilities
